WELCOME TO LITTLE FLOWER ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL (CBSE)

Our Founder

Fr. Francis Xavier Kroot was born on 7/12 /1854 at Zwolle in Holand. He was eighth & the last child of Henry Kroot & Jo Anne Schrauwers. They brought up the children with a deep sense of moral & spiritual value. There was an atmosphere of real affection & genuine piety.

The spiritual atmosphere that prevailed in the family influenced the young Francis to join the Mill Hill Missionary & was ordained a priest on 9th June 1878. In the same year he came to India & worked under the Arch Diocese of Madras for 22 years. On 11th September 1882 he was appointed as Military Chaplain of Bellary Mission. It was in Bellary that he was inspired to start a women religious congregation to empower the girl child and women in distress. For he understood that ‘A women’s love and intuition often succeeds where a man’s industry and logic might fail’. His dream came true on January 1st 1893 when he founded the congregation of Indian missionary sisters called ‘The missionary sisters of Our Lady of Fatima’. He thought that in God’s hand this Congregation may be the seed of a mighty tree which will spread its branches far & wide which became a reality today.
